All of our forming films are available In ‘standard’ format: With a traditional sealing surface designed to seal to a peelable top web, and In ‘direct seal’ format, with a peelable sealing surface designed to seal to non-peelable top webs, like uncoated Tyvek™. An uncoated top web can be a significant cost savings.
Our forming films are used in other applications beyond packaging, like surgical light handle covers.

While we offer many standard products in roll form for medical packaging – including peelable, surface printable and barrier laminations – most of our laminations are custom designed for each customer.

Whether you need a peelable or tear open pouch, or use gas or radiation sterilization, we have a pouch for your application.
We offer commonly used designs, materials and pouch sizes, but can design a custom package for your device.
For a breathable pouch, we offer all Tyvek grades, plus paper options sealed to a clear polyester or nylon lamination.
If your device will be sterilized with radiation or e-beam, a Film-to-Film or Foil pouch can be a great option – available in peel open or tear open designs.
Header bags are a great choice for larger kits and contents that have an inner sterile barrier like a wrapper or back table cover. Mostly commonly used in a breathable format, our header bags are also designed in a non-breathable version for radiation sterilization.

Yes, all three medical/ healthcare packaging Tyvek™ grades, 2FS, 1059B and 1073B are used by Printpack. We print our customer's graphics on Tyvek, we slit Tyvek™ to custom widths, and we use Tyvek™ in our premade packages, like peelable pouches and breathable header bags.
Yes, all Printpack Medical packaging meets the requirements of ISO 11607 and ISO 10993. Our product development engineers can share supporting documention, including physical properties of materials and pre-made packages, stability studies, and biocompatiblity test results - to support your own qualification requirements.
